Digital Transformation in Higher Education Institutions as a Driver of Social Oriented Innovations

Abstract Higher education institutions have in the digital transformation an opportunity to facilitate access for individuals of different social backgrounds. At same time, it will provide them with necessary tools and skills face current global problems (poverty, health quality, income disparities, environmental crises, among others) from a transdisciplinary perspective. Progress digitalization higher has been significantly accelerated by onset pandemics early 2020 (in European conditions). Such rapid massive transition distance (online) comprehensive support technologies is unparalleled. The survey conducted reflects consequences this change. Results shows that improves some most demanded new knowledge society (searching processing information, communication socialization or working text). Likewise, important role reducing costs related education, but also degradation abilities personal communication.
